Ser with indefinite articles

Posted on September 19, 2013 by scott in Uncategorized No Comments

Most of the time after ser, we don’t use the the indefinite articles (un/a).

Examples:
Soy maestro.
Es hombre de negocios.
Eres mujer única.
Mi papá es abogado desde hace cinco años.

We do use it when it has an adjective afterward though:

Examples:
Es un profesor muy bueno.
Eres una persona especial.
Soy enfermera.
Mi cuñado es un buen abogado.
